Case Study 3 - Accountancy practice

Dorset

Virtual HR

This accountancy practice had unfortunately recruited unwisely, and – in a small, otherwise friendly, family business – friction between staff was starting to affect performance.

The firm’s relationship with their incumbent HR provider was not progressing smoothly and, hearing Jim Gilhooley of Morlan Gil speak at a networking event, they asked his advice.

The relationship between the practice and Morlan Gil followed a familiar pattern.  Brought in to resolve immediate staff issues, Jim was soon asked to review the business’s HR documentation, and eventually retained as their virtual HR provider on an ongoing basis.

The practice owners are delighted with the quality of support and guidance that Jim provides.  Preferring to deal with staff matters themselves, they nevertheless check their actions and statements with Jim.  Morlan Gil’s intervention has also resulted in better-quality training and thus enhanced performance, as well as, most importantly, a major improvement in the people they recruit.
